Halliburton

This multinational corporation, is one of the biggest oil field companies in the world.  Operating in more than 80 countries. It has over a hundred branches, divisions worldwide and employs over 100,000 people.

Unfortunately this company has been involved in countless controversies, the biggest being Deepwater Horizon disaster.   Creating a environmental emergency that could have been prevented,  eventually the company agreed to pay 1.1 billion dollars to sweep legal claims under the rug.

Although efforts are being made to cut down on our reliance on oil, such as more efficient cars and green energy production solutions, it seems very unlikely we’ll ever stop using it completely. At least, not before it runs out, anyway. So it’s reassuring to know that there may be an alternative in the works that allows us to produce our very own crude oil.
